Macau has 74,000 inbound tourists in July, up 2.3 times from the previous month

The reporter learned from the Statistics and Census Bureau of the Macau Special Administrative Region Government on the 20th that with the adjustment of entry-exit quarantine regulations, the number of visitors to Macau in July increased by 2.3 times month-on-month, but still fell by more than 90% year-on-year.
Statistics and Census Bureau data show that in July there were 74,000 inbound tourists from Macau, of which 50,200 single-night and overnight tourists were 50,200 and 23,800 respectively. The average stay of tourists was 1.3 days, a year-on-year increase of 0.1 day; the average stay of overnight visitors was 4.7 days, an increase of 2.5 days, and the same-day visitors were 0.1 day, a decrease of 0.1 day.
Analyzed by source, mainland tourists decreased by 97.4% year-on-year to 66,500, of which 43,900 were from nine cities in the Greater Bay Area and 29,500 were from Zhuhai. Visitors from Hong Kong and Taiwan have 6,240 and 1,271 respectively.
According to the statistics of entry channels, 73,600 passengers entered by land, of which 88.1% entered the border gate; 402 entered by air.
In the first seven months of this year, Macau had a total of 3.3429 million inbound tourists, a year-on-year decrease of 86.0%. However, overnight visitors and overnight visitors fell by 85.9% and 86.0%, respectively, to 1,773,400 and 1,569,500. The average stay of tourists was 1.4 days, an increase of 0.3 days compared to the same period last year; the average stay of overnight visitors was 2.8 days, an increase of 0.6 days compared to the same period last year, and the same period of last year was 0.2 days.
In the first seven months of this year, inbound tourists from the Mainland, Hong Kong and Taiwan all recorded a year-on-year decrease of more than 80%, which were 2.461 million, 658,800 and 82,900 respectively.
