At present, Guangdong province belongs to the low risk area. Since the 48-hour nucleic acid inspection of passengers was cancelled at 0:00 on July 3, the number of flights and passengers at Baiyun Airport is gradually recovering.
With the recovery of the tourism market and the increase of public summer travel, Guangzhou Baiyun Airport has realized more than 1,000 guaranteed flights in a single day and more than 110,000 person-times of transporting passengers in a single day. Among them, flights from Guangzhou to the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei urban agglomeration, the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration, and Chengdu-Chongqing urban agglomeration resumed significantly.
Song Yasheng, deputy director of the operation control center of Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, said: "At present, our flight volume has reached about 80 percent of the pre-epidemic level and passenger volume has reached about 60 percent of the pre-epidemic level." We expect to reach a normal level from the end of July to early August, with the peak of summer travel at Baiyun Airport in the middle of August.
During the summer vacation, more children need to fly alone. On July 10 alone, Guangzhou Baiyun Airport secured 236 children flying solo on agency flights. In order to better serve child passengers, Baiyun Airport and the airlines optimize the flight services for unaccompanied children, simplify the procedures, and set up waiting areas for reading, so as to provide a safe and caring travel environment for children.
